First one is my s10 pickup v 6 Driving down the freeway this morning I was passing a car and lost all power. After I got it home and started looking into it I found that the rotor had basically just broke off destroyed the cap insides. I replaced the cap and rotor thinking that it would fix it. Now when I try to start it I get a backfire thru the exhaust (timing I assume) I have great fire from the coil and also the rotor is turning correctly. Could this be a possible "brain issue"? And or did when I pass the car this morning could something have siezed up and caused the cap and rotor tho break>

Truck #2 93 s10 blazer. While I was working on the first truck my girlfriends daughters s10 blazer basically stopped running. If she would wait 10 minutes it would start back up and go again for approx 3 miles and stall out again. I traded her my last working vehicle and proceeded to dive it home and it would go approx 3 to 5 miles and just stall like no fuel available. I would wait 5 minutes it would start up and go again 5 miles. I caught a ride to go get a new fuel filter replaced that and started it up and we made it down the road like 7 miles quit again then we towed it home. Im not sure where to start on either of these issues. Any idas would be helpful
Thank you

For truck 1, Check your spark plug wires and plugs-
Spark plugs may be fouled.
For truck 2-check the fuel punp pressure-
Assuming this is a 4.3 6 Cyl.
Fuel pressure should be 54-64 PSI and hold steady.
If pressure is not withing range or does not hold stready, you will need a service manual.
