2001 Chevy Lumina Won't do nothing when trying to start

Put the key in turn on all lights come on turn key to start nothing at all. Take key in and out of switch servel times and wait 5 mins to 10 mins then put key in and it starts right up? Only does this once every month maybe 6 months before it does it again bought a new key but no good.

Very common for it to be a faulty ignition switch

next time it happens be prepared and check for power at the S terminal at the starter solenoid
its the small wire as a helper holding ignition in start position for you to start
if no power suspect and check ignition switch if have power suspect flat spot on the starter and a bad starter
