timming on a 95 truck

95 should be CPI. If it is you line the motor on TDC for #1 like you were installing the dist fresh. It lines up to the cap firing position, there isnt a timing adjustment, It will run pretty far off but will give a cam/crank correlation code

it is a throtle body, and ive set the timming many ways. when i set it where it runs perfect it pings constantly, and when i set it dead on 0 it wont pull a grandma on a scooter. ive put on scanner and everything shows to be in peremeters on the computer. only thing it showed was being lean. so i replaced knock sensor, and 02 sensor.

currently at idle it is set at 18* and when you stomp it it drops to -2* and around town it runs good but when you get on the interstate it takes forever to gain speed, and if you give it to much gas it will hesitate and bog down. i even put the computer on trans and it showed perfect. any suggestions? please im lost..ready to start a fire... :lol:

if anyone is having this problem, it is the same you have to unplug the tan/black wire spark advance. and set timing on 0. the wire runs in between the duct work, and the blower motor below the glove box. i looked for it forever untill i removed all the tape from my wiring harness. gm hid it pretty good for me..
