hi. iwas reading a note ,about a 1991 Chevy cavalier, that will stall when it comes to stop.
Well !! i
have the same car (YEAR,MODELETC)
same problem!! and your answer was to disconnect the tcc solenoid.. but the way i went to an auto parts, to ask about it, and i was told the real name is ACCELERATOR SENSOR..
my question is ; are this two are the same?
Also i disconnect the 2 cables (not 4) and the car started to run very smooth,
How will this will affect the performance of the car?
and how do i replace the sensor? do i need to take my car to a transmission shopp, electric or to the dealership?
THANKS.. RICHARD :)

TCC solenoid is the correct name,I have never heard of an accelerator sensor. If the torque converter stays locked up it will pull the engine down too hard when at idle causing it to stall
