Please some one can you help me with my problem. I realize alot of ppl. Visit this site and post alot of questions. Ive read the other posts with simular problems. I just need some one who knows what they R talking about and kinda point me in the right direction. Recap: 1st key kept getting stuck couldnt get it out at times. 2nd I drove it to store and it wouldnt start. Friend tested and said no spark, needed new coil pac. Anther person said was igniton module. A new one was put in but the guy only put 1 of the 3 bolts in. Anyway when you drive it and come to a slower speed as if to stop its as if your driving a stick, holding the break down and letting out the clutch at same time. The car dies. But when you push it and put it in drive it starts. Never had problem with this car before this. :X I dont know if some thing was put in wrong or not hooked up right. But (BUT PLEASE I NEED HELP)! THanx so much
wrenchin 4 life :)

No engine light on : A would look at the EGR valve. It may stick open and leaned your engine and stall it. I believe that your work with vacuum so you could disconnect the vacuum line and plug it then try, see if there any change.

[/code][code:1:0f8ea255a5] :? Thank you so much 4 replying to me post
No light check engiin light went on then he conected a hose that got forgotten some how and it went off. I've had not 1 bit of problem until this situation happend, I know its an old car. But I dont understand why so many things all at once went crazy on it. Egnition module replaced, and now it acts like its a manual trans? When you reach a lower speed, when coming to a stop sign. It locks up and stallls. Then if you push it and put it into drive it will start again? Does any of this make sence to you? Not me :?: :?: Number 2 Q. Does it make a difference if all 3 bolts are in the module egnition bracket or not :?: [/code:1:0f8ea255a5]

2nd question first, YES it does matter. Finfd them and put them in.
I have to go out to my cavalier first but I will send you a second message.
GM installed a weird kill switch on some of these models. Basically the factory re-call fix is to unplug the wire, then unplug your battery for 5 to 10 minutes. Re hook up the battery and away you go. Just do not reconnect the plug again.

OK if you have a similar 4 cyl engine that I have lok at this.
There should be a blue square electrical plug that goes directly into the transmission. This is located underneath the top rad hose but on the tranny near the bottom. It is a 2 wire plug. The wires are purple & Yellow w/ a black stripe. They come out of the main wire harness.
Locate this plug.
1) Unplug it from the tranny.
2) Unplug your battery for 5 to 10 minutes.
3)Hook up battery and start you car. Take it for a test.
If this works for you, take that plug and wrap it with tape so that it never gets plugged in again.
Please post a reply if you get any results.
Good luck.
