My 96 blazerwith 4.3L stalled while driving 55mph with no warning. No odd sounds or shakes. Turns over fine but will not start. Engine was just getting to temperature. All fuses good. Tried starting fluid with no results. Any help would be appreciated

Do you hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key on? It should come on for about 2 seconds when you turn on the key. Fuel pump failure is a common thing and it will act the same way you describe. DON'T use ether to tes at it does nasty things to many engines.

OK, Time to do the basics then. Check the fuel pressure, You want to see 55-60 PSI with the key on engine off. If you have that then check for spark on a couple cylinders. If no spark then you may have a bad ignition module or bad connection to the coil, or even a bad coil.
If you have good spark and proper fuel then it's time to hook up a scan tool and see what the computer shows.
