Hello, can you hear the pump run, key on, no crank? It may only run a couple of seconds, without the rpm signal. You need to check proper fuel pressure, you can't do that without a gage. I'd also check good B+ and ground at the pump connector, before I suspected the pump.
If you have the spider fuel system, the fuel poppets are known for causing problems.
I just wanted to add, there is probably a fuel pump prime connector, close to the fuel pump relay. A red wire, connector, with nothing plugged into it. You can run the pump by running B+ to the connector, you don't need to use the key. I usually say to use an inline fuse with the jumper, use your best judgement.
