Car won't start

I was told the catalytic converter was bad so we cut it off and straight piped it. Before we did that it would start and now it won't

Removing the converter shouldn't prevent it from starting. Was anything shorted when you did the work? Also, what did you do with the O2 sensor?

Here is a link that discusses a crank and not start condition. Take a look through it and see if it helps. It discusses the most common causes, how to identify the problem and how to fix it.

Let me know if this helps. If it doesn't, let me know. Also, let me know if you checked for fuel pressure, ignition spark... I will attach links for them as well.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions. Again, removing the converter will not prevent it from starting. Something happened when it was being removed.
