Why would I have to unhook the 2 connectors to my power distribution box every morning to make my car run all day and I have to unhook them for a long time?

When I bought the car it ran okay for a week then it started not starting right. I called the person that I bought it from and they told me that is what they had to do from time to time to get it to start. I have to leave it unplugged for long periods of time to get it to start. Once it started it will be okay all day until I let it sit for a few hours. Then I have to start all over again.

The reason I asked is because people don't usually start disconnecting electrical connectors to make their engine start. Anyway, the connectors lead to the vehicles security or main ecm module which need to be reset to power up the ignition system. They must be going bad which warrants the disconnection. Try disconnecting the battery on the negative side to see if you get the same results.

This sounds like a problem with the security module or the starter itself. Can you try locking and unlocking the drivers door to see if that helps?
