Car will not start?

Okay, I put new thermostat on after that car started twice, the third time it acted like didn’t have enough amps to turn over, so jumped it off and nothing. Drained other battery, so took starter off test it, it was spinning so put it back on. well, when I hook battery to it starter was spinning with nothing turn on so unhook real quick thought wires where backwards so switch them hook battery back up and had to charge battery now battery good dash lights everything works like it should but put foot on brake and turn over second try battery dead also my ignition is busted so have to start it with screw driver also ticking sound coming from fuse box by radio.

Hi,

I'm not sure why the battery is failing as you described, but the no start and other issue sounds like the starter relay has failed.

If you look below, I attached the directions for replacing it. It requires a bit of work to access. Take a look at the directions and let me know if that is where you hear the noise coming from.
