Convert to rear wheel drive

Hi sir, is it possible to convert Toyota corolla engine to rear wheel drive the engine which is in Toyota corolla drives front wheel? Can we take that engine and convert it to rear wheel drive and plant that engine in mid engine layout is that swap is possible? Do every front wheel drive car engine be converted to rear wheel drive because the basic object of engine is to give power but it depends on manufacturer to give it front rear or all wheel drive? Can all front wheel drive engines like Toyota, Nissan and Honda engines can be converted to rear wheel drive waiting? Thanks.
