The first thing you need to do is Make sure you have spark. You can do this a couple different ways I perfer to remove the coil wire if applicable then attach a good plug to it and have someone crank the motor as you look for spark. (Be careful sparkplug ignition will shock you, be sure the plug is grounded in a spot so that you dont have to touch it.) If there is spark then move to a plug wire. If you have spark it may be a fuel problem.
