Your welcome. I would not think that it is an issue with oil temperature, rather than the compressor being the lowest point in the system that has storage capacity and moving parts.

You need to scan for codes. The computer is shutting the system down for one reason or another and there will be stored codes giving you an indication to the problem.

Hi my Ac compressor recently went. I bought one and when I tightened the bolt in the back to the ac line. And when I turned the wrench 3 times I heard a pop. The threads at the top were torn up and came out. I tried to tap I that did not work. Is their a way to get threads in it. Also I want to rebuild the old one is their a way to take the hub off without having to buy the tool to press it off. Thanks.

What stripped, the line or the compressor? As far as the rebuild, you need a press.

The compressor where you would connect the Line set to it and screw it into the compressor. It would be the high side and low side hose in a bracket and that connects to the back of the compressor that is held in with one bolt. The bolt hole in the compressor stripped. Thanks.

You will have to remove the compressor to get a good thread into it. However, you can't allow any metal shavings to enter the compressor.

OK the a/c comp clutch wont engage and we testes all the way back to the relay wich is fine but somewhere before that its not gettig any power, now the transmission wont shift into 1st and overdrive unless done manually, this did this at the same time my old comp clutch went out, Now I looked at the wiring diagram in my hanes manual and followed it all the way back to the a/c compressor control relay control and it says it is also the power train control module l, the ECM trouble codes are #40 for power steering pressure control (open) # 52 ECM memory reset and BCM code # air conditoning system default(low refridgerant pressure) I wanted to know if the problem with the tranny and a/c are connected with the control module, any advice would help, thanks Cynthia

Just to try and clarify the issue, your transmission is predominately hydraulically controlled. This means that most likely it not shifting due to an internal failure however, if there is no issue with a speed sensor or other sensor then it is most likely internal. The fact that you have a few codes that point to other systems, does not tie it to the transmission. The module may solve the other issues but it is unlikely that they are all related.

Basically, I suspect you have a few different issues that are not related.

If you need more help with this, let us know the specifics about your vehicle and we can get you the detail that you would need. Thanks
