1985 Buick Regal smoke under the hood

Hi:
If there is smoke, it's most likely a valve cover gasket leaking down on to the exhaust maniflod, smoking, and then continueing down. Here is what I suggest. Purchase a can of engine cleaner at a parts store, go to a car wash, follow the directions on the can and clean the engine. After that, drive the car home and allow it to sit. After it sits, then check to see where the oil is coming from.

Let me know what you find. The most common problem is the valve cover.
