My blower motor does not always come on when the engine is started. Sometimes it will come on after about 3 minutes or occasionally when I hit a bump in the road, but this is not always the case. The problem is the same whether I turn on the air condition or the heater. A/C works though and I can feel cool air coming through the vents when I drive at highway speeds with the A/C on and the air recirculation in the off position.
The water pump was recently replaced because it was leaking coolant and overheated once. The mechanic told me the A/C and the water pump problem are probably related because Buick has a sensor that will not the A/C to work if the engine is running hot. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Raymond

The water pump is not related to the blower motor not working nor the A/C. Now you either have a bad blower motor or switch or blower motor resistor. Now you can check the blower motor yourself. All you have to do is disconnect the possitive wire from it and make a jumper wire and hook it to the blower motor and go direct to the battery if the motor comes on then it is fine. Do this first and we will go from there ok. If you any questions about this then please ask. Let me know what you find.
