The blower does not come on when I want it to. It does come on if I tap the motor. I checked the wires and they are not loose. The motor does make a little noise when it is running. Whenever I shut car off the blower does not come back on when engine restarted until I tap on motor. Could I just have a motor going bad? To clarify Im talking about the heater blower. Thanks for any help. One more thing, it does work on all speeds and on all settings once it is running.

It certianly sounds like a blower motor failure to me.
One last check before replacing it.
Remove the wire connector and check for power and a ground when the fan doesn't run.
If they are both present replace the motor.
