IS there a security light shown on the dash.

Sounds more like a starting system problem. The security system will allow it to crank, just not give it fuel and or spark.

This guide will help us

Check the battery connections, and connections at the starter solenoid and fuse. Power may not be coming out of the ignition switch.

The car will start fine, drive for thirty minutes on average (sometimes more or less) and break down. When this happens I can not use my windows. If I leave the car alone for one hour (again sometimes more sometimes less) it will start up fine. Volts, temp and Oil check engine lights appear when it breaks down.

This should definitely be looked at by a mechanic as it can be an electrical or fuel problem. It may be the battery overcharging or leads shorting out.

I'm assuming it cranks over but no start? Can you hear the fuel pump running in the tank? Do You have spark at the plugs? If you have spark and fuel but it still won"t start then check for injector pulse. If no injector pulse check the crank sensor. Let me know.

**No crank at all/nothing/nada when key is engage to starting position

Could be a blown fusible link, the starter, starter relay, clutch switch/park and neutral switch/transmission position switch and ignition switch assuming the battery condition and connections are good. Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.

I was trying to start the car and heard a kind of pop sound and then it wouldn't turn over. The battery is fairly new, there is plenty of gas in the car.

Replaced a 5 year old battery after car failed to start. When I turned the key over that time it slowly cranked but did not turn over. Replaced battery and the vehicle started fine for a couple of days. Now when I attempt to start there is absolutely nothing when the key is turned. No lights, no click, completely dead. Put the battery on a charger while in the car for a couple of hours and it was in the green when I hooked it up. Attempted to start after that and same result, nothing at all.

Hi:
Have the battery load tested at the local parts store. If it's good, check all grounds on the car to make sure they are clean and tight. Also, make sure the connections at the starter are clean and tight.

Let me know what you find.
Joe

Did you try cranking in neutral? With the key in the crank position, is the purple wire at the starter solenoid hot? If everything checks out, I suspect the theft system may be causing a problem.

What you need to do is determine if its a fuel or spark problem that's preventing it from starting-Do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
