I was not sure you received this message earlier.

Okay great, that is what we thought. So I was going to head over to Pick-N-Pull and see if I can find that white plastic piece, but I am so having a problem putting the actuator back on to the car I am not sure how it actually went. Also, I read that I can connect the actuator back up to the plug and then adjust the dials on my air conditioner to see if it actually turns is that correct?

Wow I changed it out and no power getting to it. So I cheched the plug at the climate control and had coffee spilt on it. Clean it up with contact cleaner and the way it went. Back in buisness cost $0. Just my time

Good evening, do I need to re-calibrate my HVAC if I only removed the blend door actuator and then reinstalled it?

No, not on vacuum actuators. The electric actuators require calibration but not the vacuum control units.

2003 Buick century, cold on passenger warm on driver. Both actuators are working. I found a hole in vacuum line by the battery and spliced it back together. No help. Its seems that I am getting heat from heater core. Hotter when car is moving even on inside air only. When heat is on on I get more heat on passenger side. The vent door open and closes fine. There must be a door that separates the two sides? Controls panel seems to be working also. Help!

We may be making an assumption on how the actuators are working because I show that these are electric temperature control actuators but the others like mode door are vacuum controlled.

Did you monitor them actually moving the door on the driver side? The fact that you get more heat when driving is another indicator that it is a blend door issue when they are weak.

What I would do is access the driver side and then operate the system in max heat, then see if the door moves. Then remove the actuator and manually move the door to max hot and max cold and see if the temp gets hotter.

This will confirm the actuator is not moving the door to its full travel:

Please let me know if you have questions on this and see the info below on this.

Thanks

Hello, I'm Danny.

Yes, there are a left and right side air temperature actuator on your car. Here is a basic tutorial showing how to replace a blend door actuator which is similar:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-blend-door-motor

I've attached picture steps below on how to replace the left-driver side air temperature actuator on your vehicle. This is for an automatic HVAC system. I also included the last picture step on how to recalibrate the new actuator after the repair is made. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

I removed the actuator and moved the door by hand and did not make a defiance. I can see and feel the actuator move the door. When its on just vent, the air is warmer than what it is outside. On defrost I get cold on passenger side and warm on driver as I do with all the other settings. There must be a door that separates the system. Tomorrow I will remove the control panel and check connections and hopefully I will be able to see what's in front of the heater core.
