When I pull the headlight switch out all my lights work, but when I depress the brake pedal nothing changes. I don't have power on my white/tan wire from the brake switch. So I checked power to the brake switch and have no power to the brake switch, but it looks like the fuse has power if it is fuse number 4. If its fuse number 8 it has no power. Why is their no power to the switch and which fuse is the power for the brake switch.

Hi,

Power to the brake light switch comes from the same fuse as the hazard flasher. If you look below, I highlighted the fuse and the power supply wire (pink with a black tracer) to the brake light switch.

Confirm fuse 13 in the power distribution box (under the hood) is good and has power to and from it. Here is a link that you may find helpful:

If the fuse is good, go to the hazard flasher and check if the splice in the power supply wire is not damaged or broken.

Here is a link that explains how to test wiring:

I attached the wiring schematic for the exterior lighting. It is one page long, but I had to cut it in half to make it readable. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next. Also, pic 3 shows the location of the fuse to check.

I hope this helps. Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
