2001 Jeep Cherokee brake lights

The brake lights do not come on. Running lights, back-up lights and flashers all work.

I would start by checking the brake light fuse to make sure it is not open. If fuse is ok and has power on both sides of fuse. Next i would check to see if the brake lamp switch has power, and is giving power when pedal is depressed. Lastly however unlikely check all bulbs to make sure they didnt all burn out.
