I have a 1987 BMW, model 325i, with over 200,000 miles. It is a 5 speed manual transmission. I want to check the transmission fluid level, but am not sure how to do that. How do I check and fill it with transmission oil?

On one side of the trans there will be a set of plugs. One will be low "drain" the other will be about half way up that is the fill. Should be at the bottom of the hole with the car level

Suggested Repair

On the side of the manual transmission, use the lower plug as the drain and the plug about halfway up as the fill. With the car level, the fluid should be at the bottom of the fill hole.
