I am trying to find where this is located. I think it must be bad because the a/C comes out of defrost when set to come out of vent. Also hear the same clicking noise many others have reported.

Thanks in advance!

Good afternoon.

The actuator is under the dash, left side. I have attached a picture for you to view.

Do I need to remove any panels to access it or will it pretty much be visible if I get down there with a flashlight?

Thanks again! Alan

The knee bolster or cover above the gas pedal is what needs to come down. It is either held by some plastic clips or a couple of bolts. Then look with a light.

Sorry, just saw where the crash pad on driver's side gets removed. Is there a tutorial on how to remove? Sorry, I am kind of a newbie.

Not specifically for your car.

You need to remove the electrical connector and the three screws. Then remove the actuator.

After you install the new one, remove the fuse for the AC system for two minutes. Then turn the key on without starting the car. Leave the key on for two minutes. That will calibrate the actuator.

I am sorry man, one more question. Is the actuator going to have the yellow/grey plug going in to it?

I am not sure of the color of the connector. Looking but nothing indicates the color. Try turning on the system and feel which one is clicking. You mentioned the clicking in your post. You should feel it with your hand.

Hey Roy, have another question for you. I am going to attach a few pictures and we will call them 1, 2, and 3. Picture 1 shows where the actuator attaches. I will just use the old silver mounting bracket as it is the exact same. The old actuator did not have that white plastic part in it. I do not know if it is supposed to be removed, ( I would guess no). So that leaves me with the question, how does the new actuator fit onto the white plastic nipple ( picture 1)?

Help!
Thanks, Alan

The bracket has to come off the case and use the bracket with the new actuator.

Okay, let me make sure I understand.
I will take the silver bracket off of the new part, I get that but are you saying that the white plastic piece must be removed from the new actuator prior to installation?

The white piece on the car with the bracket has to come off. Do not remove the bracket from the new actuator.

Okay, I guess I will get something to snip off the end to get it off of there and use the bracket on new actuator.
Will post results.
Thanks!

I guess I am still confused.
The white piece of plastic in photo one just sits in place behind the silver bracket.
That part I understand has to stay in place to control the doors.
The new actuator In photo three has the white plastic piece attached to it but the old actuator did not have one.
So I need to cut off that piece?
It is in there good.
Why is it on there in the first place?
Please clarify!
Thanks, Ron

Sorry, got it.

The white piece and bracket are part of the actuator. The old ones have to come off with the old actuator.

You will install the new actuator as it came with the white piece and bracket.
