Car will not start

Changing the battery which is located in front of the drives side wheel. The wires got crossed and smoke came from under the hood that I assumed was the fuse box because my lights, wipers and wiper fluid all started. Now cannot connect battery without this happening and car will not start.

It sounds like you may have damaged the TIPM, but to be sure lets check for power inside. Here is a guide to help you test the fuses for power and to see if any are blown. Check out the diagrams below so you can see how it works and the locations.
