2000 Acura TL Car stalls

My car starts sounds fine is not running "rough" at all.However I drive a distance stop at a red light and the car chokes coughs then dies. I try to restart the car put the car in drive the car dies again. I need to keep my foot on the gas and break at the same time to get the car to move. Once I get it going it is fine until I come to a stop again.

Hi dianedziak,

The idling speed is too low causing the engine to stall when stopped.

If the Check engine light is not showing, the problem should be caused by dirty throttle body and IAC. Getting them cleaned should solve the problem.
