I recently aquired a 1993 acura integra 1.8liter. The ke on the exhaust gear was worn ane it was missing.I repaired it and did a compression testand all cylinders are good.I put it all together and tried to start it and nothing. I did the usual checks and the furl pump is good the ignition system is getting plenty of fire to the plugs and it is grtting air. So much for the good old days where fuel fire and air meant it eould run. The engine turns over and ive tried turning the distributor to see if it will fire up but nothing it just turns over and dont try to crank.I re checked my timing marks and they are on so what am I not doing rite? Please help im at a loss. Dylan

Hi Dylan,

Still same as good old days, with the three, it should start.

Did you get the firing order correct?
Did you check the static timing?
What is the color of the sparks?
Does the Check engine light goes off after two seconds of ignition switch on?

As far as statick timing I double checked all my marks on the crank pulley and the two overhead cam gears it is on point, the spark out the plug is a (not sure the color due to langauge issue) point at point of ground. The firing order is also correct. As for the sheck engine light I do not remember, what would be the issue if the light stays on. It just spins and no sign of even trying to fire. And all my elements are there. I would appreciate any help you have to give. I am more used to big block 350's, lol. Dylan

Hi Dylan,

Sorry, I only understand English and your explanation of the spark color is not in English.
If it is not bluish and rather is reddish or orange, the coil is weak.

If the check engine light does not go off after two seconds it could be a faulty ECM or main relay.
