The car had a slight accident that led to broken windscreen but engine not affected and the dashboard was slightly damaged or touched and the key removed from the rubber but fixed immediately. The key light on the dash refuse to turn off after turning on ignition key to start the car, engine wil crank but will not start. Sometime a little current will come to spark plug and later will stop coming and the nozzles are not opening.

First, you need to get the correct ECM for the vehicle, The part number needs to be exact. Once you do that, see if you can get it working. If the security light remains on, you need to have a dealer scan the system to locate where the problem is coming from. If you don't have it scanned, it is a guessing game and will drive you crazy.

Thanks Nickolas there is one problem now which is that all the scanners that has been used could not gain access to the computer that is to say the diagonising scanners is not able to open communication to the car or computer, please why is this so and what could be the cause. Secondly can a used ECM work for the car and why is the security key light keeps blinking.

A used ECM can work. However, often times it needs to be flashed (which is like resetting it). As far as the security light, something isn't recognizing the key you are using and the vehicle thinks it is being stolen. Frustrating to say the least.

As far as scanners, the reason I recommend a dealer is because they will have a scanner that can read that system of the vehicle. Most inexpensive scanners work fine to read engine trouble codes, but they are limited and usually can't read other codes that the computer can store. I believe that may be what is happening.

Thanks but dont you think we have to solve the key light issue first because as far as it keeps on blinking I think the car cannot start as u said that the car is not recognising the key and I told u before that at the accident the key removed from the remote ruber but we had to insert it back to the black ruber which houses the sensor chip. How do I solve the security issues Secondly, so many advance scanners has been used but same no response, can wire damage cause this, please advise me on this. Finally can a brand new ECM which is virgin solve the problem of key security

If the scanner doesn't work with the new ECU, something is either wrong with the ECU or there is an issue with the wiring.

A new ECU will still need programmed to recognize the key.

I have to be honest. Since replacing everything is expensive, I think it may be a good idea to have a dealer check it to see what is going on. I would hate to say replace everything and that not fix it.

Thanks. Let my ask this straight away. Since the security key light is still blinking, what is the best solution to solve transponder problem since this is the major reason for the car not to start.

It has to be determined to be bad and not needing reset. The problem is that it may not be the problem. There could be something other causing it to set.

Try this and let me know what happens. Turn the key to the run position and let it there for around 10 minutes. See if the security light goes off and if the car will start.

Thanks. The problem is that during the accident it affected the ECU but was changed to a used one but the part number is slightly different
Original one 89661-06J42
used one that was bought 89661-06J12
Also the transponder ECU was changed. So many people brought diferrent scaners but no access so could not see the transponder ECU to reprogramme it. With these information can you tell what to do first. Thanks

First, you need to get an ECM that has the exact same part number. The in and of itself could be the issue.

Thanks I have bought a brand new ecm and a new immobiliser the car starts and off immediately. The key in ignition buzzer does not sound but I can hear one sound buzzer when I turn the key and a trianguler sign appears at the instrument panel. Also the programmer says the equipment cannot communicate with the immobilizer.

Either it needs reprogrammed to recognize the new parts or there is a different issue with the system. I hate to say it, but it should be looked at by a dealer that can pinpoint the exact cause. I feel terrible because at this point, it becomes a guessing game without the proper equipment.
