You can get a diagnosis from them. Only commit yourself to 1 hour of diag time so your not locked in.

Nissan checked and gave me a report tht the throttle actuator needs to be replaced. I asked them if this is fixed then will my car run good and no SES. They said thts wat the comouter shows to fix NOW. I took to my mechanic and I told my him about this. He showed me the new throttle actuator tht he replaced new when he put the engine. He showed me the old one tht was in his junk along with my old engine. He believes tht the computer chip needs to be re coded or something. Since he has checked the pressure in the fuel pump, the transmission is good and others as I mentioned. Nissan is asking me 400 to replace the throttle which is already new. They said if I got it fixed from my mechanic they would charge me again 99 bucks to re-program it. Pls advise.

Yes, its something at the right hand top corner of the engine. The report calls it throttle actuator to be replaced in the first page of the report. Also there are the codes tht Nissan gave a copy to me and said tht replacing this Throttle woulf eliminate these codes. Thing is I already have a new one in the car. So would a re-programming the chip get the SES to go off?

The codes you have will give bad hesitation. I would be more inclined to take the dealers advice, since for one they work on these every day and they will stand behind their diagnosis as where your current mechanic wont.

I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE. Starting at around 70k miles My check engine light came on. A little while later my car would not start.

I brought it to the shop and I was told it was Code P0010 which is a generic code. They replaced my CamShaft Sensor. After getting this replaced my car seemed to be ok. About a week later the light came back on and my car agin wouldnt start. Same sympotoms. Code P0010. This time I had my Crank sensor replaced.

A week later my check engine light came on and I was leaking antifreeze. I had my Intake Manifold repaired. (This one is a little suspicious.) I am not sure if the guy even did the work on it. Allegedly this was repaired near my oil pan on the bottom of the car.(Does this sound right?) I not sure if this is where they intake is. But after that my antifreeze stopped leaking.

About two weeks later my check engine light came on yet again. I am now at 80K miles.
Recently I am having trouble starting my car. I have to constintly tap the gas, and the car has real rough idle. Almost like a lawn mower sound/feel when starting.

I have brought it to a few shops and they said they could check it out but it may not be worth the time or money because they dont know what it could be and the everything associated with the code has been replaced.

*On a side note. I filled up the container that holds the excess antifreeze, and a week later it was empty. Could this have something to do with my problem?

Any help would be appreciated. This is very stressful.

Thank you for the donation

They're fishing and throwing different hooks and bait on it and dunno whether its red salmon or rainbow trout they trying to catch. Go somewhere else

No.1 I've been dealing with Datsun before it became Nissan never heard or seen an intake manifold that low near the oil pan

**On a side note. I filled up the container that holds the excess antifreeze, and a week later it was empty. Could this have something to do with my problem? **

You're losing coolant somewhere get the cooling system block and pressure tested, maybe the reason it refuses to start is coolant and fuel is mixing and its not combustible due to a headgasket leak or cracked head or block

We received a code for the O2 sensor. We purchased a new sensor and the check engine light is still on. Is there something else that could make this light come on?

You need to re-set the ECU. The OBD-II scanner that you use to get the code initially should be able to reset the computer.

I recently purchased a 2002 Nissan SER SPEC V. The car only has about 60,000 miles on the clock.
I am getting the dreaded P0300 Engine code Multiple Cylinder Misfire which is illuminating my check engine light.
I have recently replaced the plugs, air filter and the CAM Sensor which certainly improved the idle.
The car appears to be running very rich as fuel mileage is very poor on the highway.
I know these cars have a history with butterfly screws, however is there anything else I can check before I remove the valve cover?

Clean the mass air flow meter and check the coolant temp sensor. If you have a digital multi meter all you need to do it unplug it and ohm it, if you do this when the car is cold then you can just give me the reading and the air temp at the time.

My engine light blinks constantly and when it does everything on my dashboard drops. The fuel gauge drops to E, the RPM meter drops to zero, the thermometer drops ect. Then every so often when I drive and rev the car too hard the car starts to jitter as if about to cut out. I am concerned that it may be a transmission issue or the result of the engine light. I have check with an ODB reader and have gotten a total of 12 codes and not sure where to start or what the problem even is.
