what is a A frame on a car Iam having problems with my car when i hit a pot hold in the road or go over a speed bump.

That's another name for the lower control arm. Some pivot on one rubber bushing, then a strut rod holds the outer end from moving forward or backward when accelerating or braking. Yours is mounted on two rubber bushings and no strut rod is needed. The two pivot bushings and the lower ball joint out by the wheel form a triangle. That triangle is why it's often called an "A frame".
