Drove my truck Saturday with no problems let it sit on Sunday then went to start it on Monday and the battery was dead. So I boosted it, but it won’t start it cranks fine and I can hear the fuel pump kick in but it won’t start and it shows I have no fuel. Today Wednesday I put the key in and turned it to on position and it said I had half a tank of fuel, but when I boosted it again to try to start it it just cranked but wouldn’t start and it says again low fuel. Does anyone know why?

Hello, I'm Danny.

First thing I suggest to check is the fuel pressure. You might have a weak/failing fuel pump.If you don't have access to a fuel pressure tester your local auto parts store has a tool loaner program and can rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:

The specification for your truck is to be 35-45 p.si. with key on engine running.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
