Engine sputtered and then stalled while stopped at intersection. This happened before two time but restarted after shutting the car off. This time however the car will turn over but does not fire. A local mechanic advised me that it was the fuel pump so I replaced both the pump and filter but no change. I can hear the pump whirring when ignition is turned, no fuses are out, and have tried the fuel pump cut-off switch. I am at a loss now and any ideas you have would be very appreciated

Are you getting spark? Also, have you checked fuel pump pressure to the fuel rail?

Checked Fuel pressure.

Was none.
I cant find any obvious leaks or kinks, and there isn't the slightest bit of pressure built when I turn the key.

If you hear the fuel pump run, then it's getting power. You can try to disconnect the fuel filter on the tank side to make sure it isn't clogged. If there still is no pressure, replace the pump.

Let me know what you find.
