MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE WILL PIPE IN WITH A BETTER ANSWER
JUST LOOKING AT THE 2 CONNECTORS
I REALLY DO NOT THINK THEY PLUG TOGETHER (I COULD BE WRONG!)
IT'S HARD TO TELL BY THE PICS, BUT IT APPEARS THAT IN YOUR 1ST PIC, THE TOP CONNECTOR IS REALLY DIRTY INSIDE (EVEN THE ALIGNMENT VANES INSIDE) AND LOOKS AS IF IT HAS BEEN DANGLING FOR SOME TIME. NOT CONNECTED TO ANYTHING (MAYBE IT'S AN OPTION YOUR TRUCK DOES NOT HAVE---OR IT "WAS CONNECTED" TO SOMETHING THAT'S FUNCTION HAS NOT BEEN "MISSED" IN A WHILE
I CANNOT SEE THE INSIDE OF THE OTHER ONE
MY 1977 JEEP CJ 5 HAS MANY DANGLING UNUSED CONNECTORS. ONE SUCH BEING "OPTIONAL" FLOOR LIGHTING UNDER EITHER SIDE OF THE DASH (WOULD OPERATE LIKE A DOME LIGHT, WHEN THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IS TURNED FULLY CW AND CLICKS)
REGARDLESS---IF THEY WERE CONNECTED TO SOMETHING, THE "MALE END" IS CLOSE BY, THAT THEY CONNECT TO
THE WIRES AND CONNECTIONS CAN TRAVEL 360 DEGREES IN EVERY DIRECTION (BASICALLY AN INVISIBLE SPHERE)
PULLING EACH ONE IN EVERY DIRECTION, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO LOCATE THE MISSING CONNECTOR, SENSOR, OR APPLIANCE THEY HOOK INTO.
DETACH A SIDE MIRROR OR USE A SUN VISOR MIRROR AND USE IT TO LOOK UNDER AND AROUND STUFF WITH A FLASHLIGHT
SHOULD EITHER ONE HAVE CONNECTED TO ANOTHER WIRE AND CONNECTOR---REMEMBER IT TOO MAY HAVE BEEN "FLUNG" SOMEWHERE AWAY FROM THE IMMEDIATE AREA, IT TOO HAS 360 DEGREE EVERY DIRECTION MOVEMENT. SO YOU MIGHT WANNA LOOK FURTHER THAN THE "REACH" OF 2 IN YOUR HAND.
MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS ARE THEY HOOK TO A SENSOR OR AN APPLIANCE---NOT ANOTHER WIRE. JUDGING BY THE WAY THEY ARE MADE
SORRY I CAN'T DO BETTER
