My 03 aztek wont start or come out of park. We have took the cup holder out where shifter is and there is a little pin and if u pull it out you can move the shifter we tried putting it in neutral but still wont start. Also checked battery it is fine. Checked all fuses inside and under hood. Also when u try to start car and leave it on run position all the lights flash saying low fuel security low brake fluid. Battery is fully charged! Clean terminals. Help

Hello,

It sounds like the security system is engaged thinking the car is being stolen. Please lift the hood and close all doors. Then remove the battery negative cable and hold it to the positive cable for 5 minutes this will discharge the system capacitors and cause a hard reboot. Reconnect the battery and then lock and unlock the door with the remote.

This guide can help

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

It will try to start but the engine will not over. It just had the full pump replaced and it does have a spark when you start it. But the engine will not come on. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Engine Performance problem
2003 Pontiac Aztek 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 86200 miles

My engine light was flashing but when Auto Zone checked it they said I didn't have a problem. I thought is had bad gas put in it so I started putting premium gas in it.

The engine light went off for a while but it would still run with a slight miss every now and then. Today when I went out to my car it would not start at all. The lights would come on but the engine would not make a sound.

2003 Pontiac Aztek won't start. Started fine this morning and at lunch. Came out after work and it will not start. New battery and new fuel pump over the summer. Could it be the gasline is frozen?

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing

2003 Pontiac Aztek 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 75,800 miles

I have a 2003 Pontiac Aztek and the last 2 summers I have problems starting the car when the engine is hot or at least that's what I think it is. It does not happen all the time(it is very intermitent). It is only in the warm weather that it happens. It never happens in the winter. The car does not start after the car has been driven for awhile. 95% of the time it happens after filling up with gasoline. The engine cranks but wount turn over. You wait a couple of minutes and try again. It will usually start within 10 minutes of trying to start it.

Hi:
Have you had the computer scanned for trouble codes? I would start there. Stop at a nationally recognized parts store to have it scanned. Most stores will do it for free.

Let me know if they find anything and we'll go from there.

This action may have damaged the ignition switch it self, remove the steering column trim and check power through the switch in all positions, start here.

Hi:
If it kicked with starting fluid, it sounds like there is a problem getting fuel. Check the fuel pump pressure. Let me know what you find.
