I recent had the air filter in my 2003 oldsmobile alero changed and now the car seems to***** when I put it into drive and on the first gear shift. The second gear shift is not as bad and the third and fourth are normal. It's kind of a kick in the pants***** like if your walking too slow and someone kicks you to make you go faster or like your turning on a booster rocket. The car has 35000 miles and it's the first time I have had the air filter changed:(. It was not doing this before the air filter was changed.

Also specifically check the intake hose between the air filter and the throttle body. Look for any place that it's sucking air into it like hoses disconnected or damage to the hose. Also make sure the MAF is plugged in.
