My vw won't start. I have tried boosting it but it doesn't want to turn over. (It needs a new head gasket but had been running fine up until now. The car hadn't been used for a few days and then decided not to start). Do you think it's the starter?

1.8T?

Standard or Automatic?

When turning the key to "crank", check for power on the starter "trigger wire" (will need a second person to turn key).

*** Raise & support the vehicle correctly & safely, Park or neutral, step on brake pedal during test to prevent wheels from turning ***
