Alignments don't address shaking, only pulling to one side, tire wear, and off-center steering wheel. Shaking can be caused by a bent wheel, bent hub, (not very common), warped brake rotor, or broken tire belt. A worn inner cv joint housing will cause a shimmy in the steering wheel up to about 35 mph under acceleration. The clue is it will go away during coasting.
Sometimes a broken tire belt can be identified on a front-wheel-drive car by it pulling one way during acceleration and pulling the other way under moderate to hard braking.
