I recently changed my thermostat in my 2000 ranger and servised my cooling system. About two months after that my heat quit working and my temperature Gauge in the cab only says cold but my heat get a little warm so I checked and refilled my fluid and made sure there was no air bubbles in the system but my gauge still wont move I dont know if its the temperature sensor or the thermostat went out again can somone give a direction to look in

If you lost heat, the system is full, and the temp gauge isn't showing that the engine is warming up, it sounds like the thermostat is stuck open.

I would recommend that you remove it and check it.

Let me know if you have other questions.

I have almost the same problem. My temp gauge goes up and down. I replaced thermostat and seems to have same problem. If I let it sit the gauge will go up, turn on the heat and it goes down. Flushed the system and while putting hoses back on there is a vacuum line going to the two heater hoses. If you manualy push in the flow stops going to heater. With the hose removed it also seems as if the system works. Just drove it and the temp gauge stayed about normal.
