1999 Volvo S80 engine problems

I was driving the car an the lights dimmed an it lost all power. So I shut it off an now it wont start

It sounds like your alternator quite working or possibly an alternator fuse blew. Have you tried to jump it?I assume by no start you mean that it won't turn over? Try charging the battery and see if it will start then. It should run for a little while on just the battery.
