1999 Mitsubishi Galant No start

Crank sensor went badown but when cranking engine only transmission turns the crankshaft doesn't move.

That can only be caused by a broken crankshaft or a broken flex plate. Broken flex plates are fairly common. Broken crankshafts are not common. The additional clue is the engine won't sound like it normally does when it's cranking. The starter will be spinning much too fast and smoothly.
