Hi so when I try to start my 99 ranger flex fuel 3.0 I have to turn the key to the on pos and u hear the fuel pump then when it stopbs buzzing shit kep off then turn it back on till the buzzing stops do that like 5 times then start it or it wont start if I dont do this I am thinking the fuel pump is going bad so I have a flex fuel truck do I need a flex fuel fuel pump or can I use any 99 ranger fuel pump and why do I need to do this to start the truck

Yes, the pump sounds bad. Replace it with correct pump. There is no other pump for flex fuel. Use a good quality pump. Make sure you clean the tank out of all debris or the new pump will fail.
