I have a 99 ford ranger, and I have not had any problems until it got really cold and started to snow. So I put my truck in 4x4 high and it was working fine. But the next morning when I went to put it into gear it wold not go. It would start fine but I could not get it to engage into gear. But when I turned it off it went into gear but would not start. It had done it a couple days before but I got it to work and did not have a problem again until now. I think it might be my transfer case or my clutch but I am not sure. So if any one knows or has an idea please let me know. Thank You

I need you to check something. When this happens, check to make sure there is power getting to the actuator in the transfercase. The actuators on these vehicles have a history of going bad.

Let me know what you find.
