HI, THIS VEHICLE SOUNDS LIKE A PLUGGED CAT. WE CHANGED THE COMPLETE SYSTEM. IT IS INTERMITTENT. LOOSES POWER, AND STARTS SWOOSHING. WE CCHANGED THE MAF, AND THE FF. IT STILL IS INTERMITTENT. NO CODES, NO MIL ON. JUST SOME INFO, MANIFOLD WAS RESEALED ABUT 15K AGO. WHATS YOUR TAKE ON THIS? THANKS. USUALLY HAPPENS UPON HARD ACCEL. BUT NOT ALWAYS. THE NOISE SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMMINNG FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. SONDS LIKE A TRACTOR PULL WHEN THE TURBOS SPOOLING UP. THANKS.

So it wont do it stopped with the hood open? Almost sounds like a collapsed intake boot or blockage of some kind? That would be pretty restricting?

Sorry we have a new kn filter, air box is strong. No stress on any air component. We got it to fail with the hood up before we did the complete exhaust. Unable to duplicate now. As I said it is intermittent. Its acts like something is restricting the exhaust. But that cant be. Thanks for your input. My customer is ready to loose it. I cant say that I blame him.

Not sure if you recieved my second mess. We installed a kn AF, all air box components are rock solid. We did get to act up before we put the new exhaust on. It is still very intermittent. Cant duplicate the problem now with the hood up. Its acts like some thing is in the exhaust, but its all new. Remember the old potatoe trick?

Any chance the cat fell apart and you have some pieces in the muffler that are plugging it up on hard accelleration?

Do an exhaust back pressure test to rule out the exhaust system and get back with the results
