2001 Chevy Malibu My car wont start and wont go over 30 mph

i was driving the car and it would not let me drive any faster than 30 mph then when i reved it a couple times the mph didnt move at all then when i got to the bottom of my driveway (uphill) it couldnt make it and it died at the bottom i dont know what to do.

is it setting a check engine light, could be a possible cat converter.

the check engine light is on yes and also the battery light is on when i have the car on but not starting and it does turn over but not start also my engine oil light is dead should i replace that when i turn car on to see all lights it does not show up anymore

i would take it somewhere and have the vehicle scanned to find out what the trouble codes are. it could also be a MAF sensor. you can try to disconnect that and see if you have power. it is located by the air cleaner box
