no fire come out of the coil?

the cars a 97 ford contour the car is getting fire to the coil but there is no fire come out of the coil?

Hello,

If you are getting power to the coil but it is not producing spark, then you likely have a faulty coil pack.
A coil pack can have excess internal resistance and that can cause the coil to not produce spark.
The coil can also get moisture inside due to bad seal, which will also make the coil pack go bad.
The ignition coil is located at the LH side of the engine, mounted on a bracket at the rear of the cylinder head
