I have a 98 Ford Contour GL with a 4cylinder Zetec engine that has about 160000 miles on it. The idler pulley broke and it jumped timing and bent the valves. I removed the head and got the valve job accomplished. While putting it back together, we were unable to get the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley to line up with the oil pan mark and have the #1 piston at TDC. Each time the #1 piston was at TDC we were 180 degrees away from lining up the marks. We finished putting it together and it turns over with no problems; valves, pistons and crank seem to have no problems but I can not seem to get spark to the plugs. I have tested the coil pack and both windings were within tolerance but I tried a different one just in case but no help. What else I can test without the car actually running to figure out why I am not getting spark to the plugs.
