Ok the details are as follows: 94- large red (hot), medium yellow, orange (hot), orange, orange/blk, 2 browns, green, white, black. 97- Large red, yellow, orange, purple, purple/white, green, white, brown, grey, pink, black. There are a few wires left over if just going straight color to color like I was told to, not to mention my interior lighting isnt working and neither is my cluster lights. I have seen this done but it was several years ago that this type of mods were being made and it is not easy to find the information. Not to mention I cant find a schematic for either year that shows the wires coming out of the switch what they are for or else Id be able to do it myself and my ohm meter is garbage!

Sure are but I have chiltons online already and unfortunetly for that year run 88-94 there is no real schematics to speak of for the dash wiring, the cluster was a mess to find, and for the 97 switch its just figuring out the wires and what they do, I think white is my interior lamp when I ran the ohm meter on it and turned the interior lights on it went off. Im new at wiring like this and have the cluster in but am having a heck of a time with the light switch. Thanks

Why aren't you using the correct switch? They aren't necessarily interchangeable.

I am not using the same switch because I did a 94 dash to a 97 swap, as I mentioned I have the cluster all functioning correctly but the lights are not operating properly, all stemming from the switch, it is all interchangable, I have read about people doing it on several forums back 7 years ago so its not easy to contact these people now tho, all I need is the wire codes to tell me the wire color and function and Im asking if anyone knows this info

You see, that's where you are wrong. The 97 uses a DRL module and the lighting is routed through is and triggers entirely differently.

Ok well my headlamps and turn signals and brakes work, this is great but I want the interior lamps to work and the guys who have done this as well said theres are fully functional, if thats the case as well how does my cluster work? There are a few wires that arent being used, this can be grounded or powered in order to get the switch to work, do you know the color codes and what wires are for what? I.E. Which wires are for the dimmer which are for the dome override? For both years?
