Hello,
It sounds like you might have a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
The crank sensor monitors the crankshaft rotation and sends that information to the ECM. Over time heat and vibration from the engine can cause it to lose its internal calibration. This will cause the sensor to send error data to the ECM, which can trigger an engine shutdown.
After the engine stalls you may or may not be able to restart it.
