Flickering oil guage, stalls

I just replaced my starter on a 96 ranger 3.0. When I went to start it, it idiled rough and died after 5minutes of driving. Switched out fuel relay switch. Same thing. After reviving engine oil guage jumps rapidly all the way up and down. I can hear the lifters knock, but plenty of oil. If I turn on ac, guage flickers and truck almost stalls. Same if I put it into gear. Had zero problems befor replacing starter

It probably has go thru computer relearning due to battery disconnection-the computer lost its mind now it has to relearn itself

Place automatic transmission in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T). Start engine and allow to idle for one minute. Drive vehicle for 10 miles or more to allow processor to relearn values for optimum performance. Ry this:
