When the problem is ongoing, if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, check proper fuel pressure.
Check cam and crank sensor.
Can you check for applicable trouble codes? You may be able to get some mil codes, yourself, if you haven't already? Turn key just till dash lites come on, no further. Cycle key on--off, on--off, on, then the mil on the dash starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. If that doesn't work let us know.
