Engine will start in the morning then I park it for the day and when I try to start it to go home, it will not fire when it turns over but after seven or more tries it finally starts but has a very rough idle and runs at 500 rpm what could cause this? I have checked all spark plug wires and sensors and the fuel lines.

Hello,

It sounds like you might have an issue with the fuel pressure regulator.
Over time the internals of the regulator will worn off and may not be able to provide adequate pressure to the engine.
The fuel pressure regulator is located right next to the throttle body (see diagram).
Check the fuel pressure to verify it is the regulator.
You should have 41-47 PSI of fuel pressure with the key On and engine Off.

Here is a helpful guide:

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
