No start engine

By you saying "nothing happens" I am going to assume you mean even the started wouldn't even engage, not even click. If this is so, I'm already guessing electrical. Check the fuses, both under the steering wheel and under the hood. Though, you could try placing the tranny into neutral and see if the engine will turn over. I'm not a certified mechanic but most cars wont start if the transmission is in gear, some times you might have it in park but due to linkage and sorts you are still in reverse and the car wont let you start the engine as a safety feature.
